LEARN TO SAIL - ASA 101 BASIC KEELBOAT (PART I)
This 12-hour course gives a novice a solid foundation in the basics of sailing. NO PRIOR SAILING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!
After a 3-hour classroom session, you will spend 9 hours on the water in our J-22's using small, cruising and training sails. The price of the course includes the ASA Sailing Fundamentals Text, lunch and refreshments. (Maximum of 4 students per instructor).

Sailing theory
- Tacks & points of sail
- Rigging and unrigging the boat
- Coming about & jibing
- Use of outboard motors
- Basic knots
- Skipper and crew responsibilities
The next step in learning to sail is our Intermediate Sailing Class. We offer a Beginning / Intermediate Combo where you can sign up and pay for both courses at a package price. Contact us for more details.
Completion of this course qualifies you to participate in our Alumni sailing class held each Sunday at 1:00 PM.
